In a total display of respect for God's decision and humbleness, the founder of the Church, Reverend S.B.J Oshoffa once declared that he is ready to step aside as the head of the Church for another individual, if the Spirit of God requested him to do so.

The founder of the Church made this known in a video interview which was possibly held in the early 80's. The video interview which occured in yoruba language, and seen by Celestial Church Blog, shows Oshoffa clad in a scarlet coloured pastoral regalia. He spoke about his successor and how the successor would emerge.

In the interview, the founder was asked, what will he do, if the Spirit of God (Holy Spirit) ask him to step aside and chooses someone as the head of the Church.

Papa Oshoffa replied that he will abide by the decision of Spirit of God, as God could choose anyone to the lead the Church.

When ask what is his plan in regards to who will succeed him as the head of the Church. He replied, that he already had a plan.

"We have people with various types of titles, but the person that would occupy my seat, is not the person with the next title after me that would occupy my seat.

"The Spirit of God (Holy Spirit) will appoint who will occupy the seat. The person could be someone who has been in the Church for just 6 years, 5 years or 20 years. The Spirit of God (Holy Spirit) who ordained the Church, will choose who is to occupy the seat" he said.

He pointed that if anyone is occupying the seat before the Spirit chooses, the person and other members, will maintain their position, but they must obey the individual who has been choose (to occupy the seat).

He attested that that the Spirit of God may choose any one, either his Children, if possible a white man. "Anywhere God choose him from, we would accept him (as our leader)" he mentioned.

As Celestians, the questions we should ask ourselves are:
1. Has the Spirit of God chosen?
2. If Yes, who is the individual?
3. If No, how can we know the individual when the Spirit of God chooses?
